Mid-Shore Community Foundation Partners With Local Nonprofit Organizations

The Mid-Shore Community Foundation recognizes the importance of strong nonprofit agencies serving the Mid-Shore community. The Foundation is committed to helping these agencies continue to deliver their needed services. Consequently, the MSCF advocates the formation of operational endowments for nonprofits, in order to ensure the long term success and stability of these agencies.

Endowments can help provide:

  • A long-term hedge against short term extremes of the marketplace
  • A financial source for existing programs while taking some pressure off of annual fund raising
  • A financial source to help fund new ideas and programs
  • Ultimately, long term independence for the nonprofit

What the Foundation does for the nonprofit:

  • Manages the fund
  • Sends acknowledgements as needed
  • Oversees the fund’s investment
  • Helps publicize the fund/organization
  • Issues quarterly financial reports on the status of the fund
  • Helps educate potential donors about giving options

The Mid-Shore Community Foundation is proud of the trust that area nonprofit agencies have bestowed upon us. We take our fiduciary role very seriously and welcome the opportunity to partner with these agencies to help strengthen their financial positions.
