Michael C. Stone Memorial Award Fundraiser

Easton High School Seniors (back L-R) Jake Laureska, Graham Lee Jr., Nick Vita (front L-R) Julie Sullivan, Shelley Stone (mother), Becca Deel and Caroline Fox take a break from a pit-beef fundraiser held on Wednesday, April 12th to raise endowment funds for The Michael C. Stone Memorial Award. Approximately $2,300 was raised in memory of their classmate. Stone, a high school junior, was killed in a car accident in April 2005. More than 550 pit beef and pit turkey platters were sold by Jamie Petrides, with the help of Michael’s classmates, friends and family. The annual $500 Michael C. Stone Memorial Award will benefit a student from the Easton High School senior class who has taken drafting in their junior and senior years. Contributions toward this award fund are tax-deductible and may be sent to The Michael C. Stone Memorial Award, c/o Mid-Shore Community Foundation, 102 East Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601.
