Donor Involved Scholarships

The Mid-Shore Community Foundation provides oversight and administers the payment process for the following scholarships whose application and selection processes are managed by external committees. Applicants should review the descriptions of these scholarships to determine their eligibility. To apply, complete the application or contact the individual listed.

DOROTHY WEBB BLACK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship for minority students graduating from Talbot County High Schools.
Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must demonstrate community service.

FREDERICK DOUGLASS HONOR SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship for minority students graduating from Talbot County High Schools.

LAURALEA T. GOODALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship for former students of the Horizons of Kent and Queen Anne’s Program.
Applicants must have been a Horizons student or faculty intern for a minimum of 4 years.
Applicants must have graduated from a Kent County High School.
Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA.

PAULINE AND SHIRLEY T. SMITH SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship for students to attend Chesapeake, Salisbury or the University of Maryland at College Park.
Applicants must have graduated from a public high school in Caroline, Dorchester or Talbot County.
Applicants must have evidence of at least one semester of college work, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and must work to contribute to the cost of his/her education.
The application deadline is April 30, 2019.
