Giving via Charitable Gift Annuity
When giving through a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA), you arrange for a generous gift to your community while creating a new source of income - a deferred charitable gift, in exchange for annuity payments
You can establish a Charitable Gift Annuity that precisely reflects your charitable intent. Once you have identified your objectives, we will prepare a CGA Agreement according to your specifications and the annuity will be active upon receipt of the charitable assets. The annuity payments begin immediately - the rates are established by the American Council of Gift Annuities. The payments are fixed, regardless of market conditions and are backed by the assets of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. The payment can be used to supplement your lifestyle or that of someone else - a sibling, a dependent, a friend or a former employee. Once the payments end (upon your death), the remaining assets will benefit the charitable organizations - as specified in the agreement.
You can establish a Charitable Gift Annuity with a gift of $10,000 or more. Contributions are tax deductible and you may add to the fund at any time. The minimum age for immediate life income beneficiaries is 55. To get started, contact Buck Duncan, President, at 410-820-8175, Ext. 100.
