In response to the evolving needs of the local nonprofit community, Mid-Shore Community Foundation has expanded its events and offerings through its program, Mid-Shore Connect. The offerings which are designed to build practical skills and foster collaboration, blend expert instruction with peer connection - bringing nonprofits and community leaders together for learning, leadership, and collaboration. The schedule includes a mix of in-person workshops, webinars, and events. Advanced registration is required.

This workshop is ideal for nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers who are new to grant writing or looking for a refresher. In addition to consulting, Lili designs and facilitates training for nonprofits.

This session is hosted in partnership with Shore Leadership, a leadership program for executives and managers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Dr. Joe Thomas, retired Marine and current Director of the VADM James B. Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy, has held senior leadership education roles at the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Leadership Institute, and Marine Corps University. Dr. Thomas has taught at Notre Dame, the University of Maryland, George Washington University, and the National Outdoor Leadership School, and is the author of several books on leadership and ethics.
