Mid-Shore Community Foundation provides tools that enable donors to easily and effectively support the causes they care about - immediately or via bequest.

Donor Advised Funds DAFs).  Donor Advised Funds allow donors to easily and effectively manage their charitable giving.  Donor Advised Funds provide many of the advantages of a private foundation, but with smaller asset requirements and fewer administrative responsibilities.  You determine the name of your fund and recommend grants to support the causes you care about.  Contributions to the fund are tax deductible and you may add to the fund at any time. 

Planned Giving: Planned giving is a strategic philanthropic approach allowing donors to maintain their disposable income all while, arranging for a generous gift. These gifts provide significant tax advantages, potential lifetime income, and sustainable long-term support for nonprofits.

Mid-Shore Community Foundation is committed to helping area nonprofits strengthen their financial positions and enhance their overall effectiveness. By investing in capacity building, the Foundation supports long-term sustainability, increases organizational impact within the community, and empowers nonprofits to navigate complex challenges with confidence.

  • Capacity Building: Provide training and networking opportunities to strengthen local nonprofit organizations.

  • Grantmaking: Provide direct financial support to nonprofit organizations addressing community needs.

  • Endowment Management: Manage permanent funds for local nonprofit organizations helping them ensure long-term sustainability. The funds benefit from the Foundation’s professional investment management, as well as giving options that allow nonprofits to better serve their donors.

  • Fiscal Sponsorship: The Foundation has the ability to sponsor unincorporated associations or special projects that haven't yet secured their 501(c)(3) status.
